More pictures (and more stories) from the world of the City...
Make one crazy wildcatter sell his claim? Yeah, It seemed like easy money. Nobody mentioned the golem.
"Come now, that’s unfair! You must appreciate that I have devoted my life to the study of thaumatobotany. And now, the change to cultivate and study such a rare specimen...Well, surely you would agree that in the pursuit of knowledge sacrifices must be made."
Chair horrors are another one of those products of an obviously deranged wizard’s imagination. They're incredibly tenacious and patient killers. This is the one that got Tussman. It must have got his scent in a ski lodge five years ago, but finally killed him in the trophy room of the hunter's club in the last week.
Specimen 223. It’s no ordinary simian skull--that was certain from the beginning. There’s the intermittent glow, of course. That’s what got it into the museum. The lascivious atavism it seems to induce in those in its proximity for extended periods was what got it confiscated--but not before some racy headlines were made.

Love the pictures. All very evocative and very interesting. I didn't see the golem at first then is was 'whoa'.
Great idea Trey. Im going use that for a blog post of mine own if you dont object. Obviously Id use diffrent pictures!
That chair is fecking creepy, like an ambush chair, once you sit down......chomp, chomp.
I love them all... especially that gardener who keeps a nude woman chained to a pedestal above his carnivorous plant. By artful arrangement of chained victims, which encourage the human flesh eating plant to grow in certain directions (put a nude girl above the plant, it grows taller... put it to the left, it grows left, etc), the gardener is capable of creating beautiful, livind deadly topiaries!
What is your secret? Where do you find such marvellous pictures? No, don't tell me... just keep 'em coming!
@Tim - Yeah this a nice one. I don't know who to credit with the manipulation but it's good.
@Zombiecowboy - Feel free. :) It's a sort of post I've been doing on occasion for some time.
@Angry Lurker - Yeah, you gotta question the aesthetic sense of its designer.
@Limpey - Ha! Yeah, that's excellent. I'll strive to keep them coming. :)
These are full of win! There's a huge amount of hooks to be had here for a City game. The Simian Skull has a creepy Lovecraft feel to it.
The chair... how I do so love the chair. Wow.
@Needles - Thanks. It is kinda creepy isn't it--of course, it might also make a good nightlight.
@Pat - Kill yerself a bar, and you can make your own. ;)
I gotta disagree with the Angry Lurker. I think the Bear Chair is rad. I want one. But to do it justice you need to be a boss and sit in during an employee review or an HR guy and sit in it during an interview.
You make a very good point, GC.
Dear God I love that Chair Horror. What a fitting end for someone who choses to kill for sport!
Yeah, it would be a bit of ironic comeuppance worthy of an EC horror comic.
