I think the good things, as you mention, are the characters and humor, but I'd also say I enjoy his turns of phrase. The passage about Awa and Manuel stubbornly refusing to fall in love as is de rigueur for travelling companions is priceless.Treyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04647628467658839351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8302487761596456689.post-63219525655711699552011-09-26T16:46:28.715-04:002011-09-26T16:46:28.715-04:00I read the Enterprise of Death this summer. I had a really good start, slows to crawl and never really picks up speed, then falls haphazardly into a climatic ending that tries to tie everything up. The humor was really well done, but the angst was unbearable.Natehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08139078951913130843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8302487761596456689.post-42224650469415938792011-09-26T16:43:20.966-04:002011-09-26T16:43:20.966-04:00Sounds pretty good -- one more item to add to my e...Sounds pretty good -- one more item to add to my ever-growing "to-read" list. :)Chris C.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08655640273250716377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8302487761596456689.post-78795796384825450382011-09-26T10:55:49.006-04:002011-09-26T10:55:49.006-04:00@Sean - You're quite welcome. :)@Sean - You're quite welcome. :)Treyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04647628467658839351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8302487761596456689.post-71231629864288053162011-09-26T10:41:01.835-04:002011-09-26T10:41:01.835-04:00These sound like they're right up my alley, th...These sound like they're right up my alley, thanks, Trey!Sean Robsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16429301144221551751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8302487761596456689.post-24141315614073859572011-09-26T08:58:30.671-04:002011-09-26T08:58:30.671-04:00I was eyeing them up the other day.
