If so, how many individuals there were locally could determine how consistent the creature's form is - if there are too few of one type, the monster could end up a mix of hide, scale and plate, varied limb construction, tentacles etc.<br /><br />In that case, the creator might even go with the flow and opt for a less conventional form, maybe with multiple skeletons to hold it all up, various heads and colaborating nervous systems, and so on.
