Cool Maps, Weird World

I've talked about Marvel's fantasy series Weirdworld before. If you missed it, go read that post.  I'll wait.

Anyway, I thought I'd share a couple of maps that appeared in the saga:

This one's the same thing, but with some locales noted:

Love the top map.

I generally like Moench's work, but the 'vanilla fantasy' look of Weirdworld never really jumped out at me.

Are these comics worth tracking down beyond their value as a historical artifact?

That is one neato keano map. I love the skull head. Too cool.

Happy Weekend :-)

@Robert - I would say if you like comic book fantasy (where the bar wasn't very high prior to recent years with things like Artesia)then it's worth checking out. As to the "vanilla" fantasy, I would say with the D&D/WoW-ization of modern fantasy, vanilla fantasy seems like a breath of fresh air today.

@Whisk - Hey! I hope you have a good weekend, too.

Well you gone and done it. Going to hit a comic book store within the next couple of days and get into a series. Any suggestions?
