The Hidden Land--Revealed!

Thanks to the artistic talents of Michael "Aos" Gibbons, my lost world setting The Hidden Land is lost no more:

I wanted something in the mode of several old comic book maps, and this is just about perfect, Future posts will give details of some of the locations, but right now bask in the mystery!

Excellent. I think he nailed the "old comic book map" vibe.

He did awesome work didn't he? This Tarzan map was the primary "style" reference along with the Warlord map.

@Cole - I'd never seen that M&M one before, but you're right.

Thanks every one for the kind words.

What a brilliant map! I love the Gastornis rider in upper left corner. I adore lost worlds (who doesn't?), and I'm looking forward to learning more about The Hidden Land.

What's the point of having giant, flightless birds if you do have Amazons riding them? More to come!

HELLA GIB!

Are we gonna get to see the art direction at some point? For insight into the process?

That is sweet. What are those purple crystals? Teleport points?

@bombasticus- Trey gave me a rough map and then I half assed my way to the finish line at the snail speed.

@OlmanFeelyus - You can read about them here.
@bombasticus - What Aos said (well, except maybe the hafl-assing), other than I also gave a couple of sample maps for examples of the look I was going for.
