Against the Weasels
The occupation of Toad Hall in Wind in the Willows by the weasels, ferrets, and stoats would make a good setup for an adventure of anthropomorphic animal characters in a low-level D&Dish fashion. In fact, if you make Toad Hall more of a castle and put a village around it, you'd have a nice setting for a Beyond the Wall sort of things focused on exploring the dangers of the Wild Wood.

I like this.
What “classic” module, [ or Hydra module ;) ] suggests itself to you for his treatment? Castle Amber?
Reskinning G1 is the top idea of the year. That's now my haunted Brideshead!
Since it's theoretically snow season your somewhat apocalyptic title here put me in mind of this thing and its unearthly "life is what happens between the wars" Seventh Seal in the Willows ambience.

@Bryan - That's a good question. I don't have a specific answer. Castle Amber would work, though it was certainly be arcane weasels at work.
