Strange Trails features:
- Eight articles from this blog, some expanded, and all of them annotated and illustrated--including artwork by our man in Manila, Reno Maniquis, and that ostensible cat, Johnathan Bingham.
- An “Appendix N” for the City and its world.
- A shot of flavor fiction to set the mood.

Thanks for that. Can't wait to see the whole project, but this taster will keep me going 'til then ;)
Excellent. Good timing for the weekend. Thanks Trey.
Wonderful! Very nicely laid out, and the content is superb as usual.
What did you use for layout software?
Um, I ate the appetizer and now I'm starving. Bring on the main course ;)!! Trey, looks great. I love that The Goon is mentioned as an influence. That kind of says it all right there. This is gonna be a blast!
Congratulations on the teaser-booklet. This looks absolutely wonderful--absolutely love the Doc Savage-meets-Beholder cover! Very cool stuff inside as well--Howard Kane, Occult Detective is particularly great. Wow. This is very nicely done all around. Looking forward to the Main Event!
I am embarrassed to express publicly the "oh I can't wait for this" kind of fandom, but really oh I can't wait.
Yesterday I received in the mail (courtesy of a very cheap Ebay win) a copy of that excellent old Justice Inc. supplement Lands of Mystery, so my pulp rpg appetite is in high gear.
Wilco, doc. As soon as I'm home, I'll go get it :)
Way to tease!
Really looking forward to the final product!
Thanks, guys for all your support. I hope you enjoy this freebie, and I hope Weird Adventures can live up to your expectations. No pressure there. ;)
@Pat - My buddy Jim Shelley supplied the layouts, so I'll have to ask him and get back to you. He's told me what he was using before, but I don't recall.
@CKutalik - I hope you're not embarassed too much, because its knowing that there's an audience waiting that keeps me plugging away at it. :)
@Pat - I used Adobe Indesign to layout Strange Trails. It was my first experience using that software, but I found it very similar to my old favorite, QuarkXpress.
This is genius. What a mood, summarised for me after a quick skim with this: "the thing like a man in a bunny suit that is not a man."
Very cool. Thank you.
Excellent Trey, looking forward to going through it. Just by thumbing through the pages it has a great look to it.
Very cool. Agree with Netherwerks - that cover is perfect!
Why can't the SciFi channel do this kind of stuff?
YAY! Thank you very much, Trey, even this snippet is quite welcome! Although you are very cruel as this makes me anticipate Weird Adventures all the more.
I just finished reading it. That was twenty-three pages chock full of awesome. Looking forward to Weird Adventures!
Thanks guys! GLad you enjoyed it.
@Scottsz - Don't you mean SyFy? ;)
@Trey: I tried, but I just couldn't get my fingers to type that out...
Just downloaded it Trey, and looking forward to perusing it! I'll let you know my thoughts :) Thanks very much for putting this out there!
Please do. And you're welcome. :)
You had to post this just after I went offline for a few days! Anyway, I can't wait to check it out on my morning commute.
I was sort of wondering where you'd been. I hop you're not driving in that commute. ;)
Very cool, Trey. Will give it a read this week.
Thanks, Greg. I hope you enjoy it.
