Thrax warrior in progress by Waclaw Wysocki |
My current plan (still subject to change, based on POD restrictions and what not) is for a full color setting book that's systemless bundled with a "just the facts," no frills game stat companion for both Stars Without Number and Fate. I've lately thought of patterning the stat after the old Ace double novels in format, but we'll see. The reason for the separation is to keep costs down (pages of game stats don't have to be printed on glossy full color paper), but it also means the setting book could be used as an in game reference.
Anyway, there will be further updates as things develop.

Very cool illustration, and what a Great team-up! I like your approach of doing a stat-free setting book coupled with the game-stuff in a follow-up booklet. I have been kicking around something similar for Wermspittle, as I'd like to adapt it to Savage Worlds and possibly FATE down the road. Looking forward to how this all works out--I just know it is going to be wonderful!
Thanks, Jim. It's also great to hear that Wermspittle is possibly moving closer to publication!
Instead of STATs
consider use of ordinal qualitative description =

Great art ~ as a SWN fanatic, I can't wait for this :D
Have you thought about crowdfunding this? you have put alot of work into the setting and I think it would do well on kickstarter.
@Clovis - I do like that qualitative approach, but I'll probably stick with the particular systems I've been using, figuring that will be guide enough to adapting to other things.
@Kent - Glad you like it.
@Tom - Others have mentioned that. I'm not really keen on the marketing piece you have to do for Kickstarter, but it is something to consider.
Sounds fantastic Trey. I like your going systemless. I want more content than stat blocks.
I dig the Thrax Warrior image!
Excellent!
Sounds really cool!
