Species of the Alliance
I just uploaded a draft of a document Strange Stars: Sophonts of the Alliance. It's statted for FATE, and it's a product of my tinkering with that system to get to know it. Some of those species I've already statted for SWN on the blog, so I'm not even out the old school among you. The doc has some information that hasn't appeared on the blog. There's something for everybody.

Very cool for a couple reasons. First, I can't get enough Strange Stars stuff. While I don't have Bulldogs! the FATE system is intuitive enough I know what's being said. Secondly, I am also glad to see some examples of how to model alien races in FATE. Sometimes I personally struggle a little with FATE being almost too open ended. I end up unable to "focus" it enough without a good example to follow and these are great.
If you do a Strange Stars collection book-thing are you leaning towards FATE stats in it rather than SWN?
Thanks! I agree about almost too open ended. That probably means "more than one way to skin a cat", but when your trying to figure out if your on the right track it sort of leaves you adrift in places, at least in comparison to say GURPS or Hero System.
If (and I'm thinking "when", but you never know) I do a Strange Stars book, I may well dual stat it, at least in a minimal fashion, so that nobody who has been following it from the beginning gets left out.
So are you finding Fate to your liking? I've had trouble Groking it.
@Brutorz Bill: All the terminology does take some getting use to. Generally before I really get a game I have to do stuff with it; that's what I'm trying to do here.
