What's Got this Alien So Surprised?

Could it be he's heard that Strange Stars OSR is now in layout? It's been a long time coming, (longer than I planned!) but I am happy to say I placed the manuscript and art in the hands of the very able Lester B. Portly this past weekend.

We're in the home stretch. Stay tune!

Woohoo! So, to clarify, do we need both this, the setting book, and Stars Without Number, or is this now a complete RPG based on SWN?

It's not a complete game. You'll need SWN (or another old school sci-fi game might suffice with a little work) and the Setting book.

So, the first one was the setting book and now there's this new one coming... but it's not a complete RPG with rules? I need to know more about the new book and how it differs from the first.

This is the third book, actually. The first is setting only (no rules), so suitable for use with any system. The second was a book for Fate. It required Fate Core (which is free) and the Setting Book for best use. This one is a supplement for SWN and so requires SWN (which has a free version) or similar old school scifi system with a little more work and the setting book,

Soo, I assume there will be new classes to supplement the ones in SWN? If so any hints on what they will be?

Also any new Psi Powers?

No new classes (I feel like SWN's are broad enough they have it covered, but some new backgrounds and of course new species. Some novel uses of psi stuff, but not really new abilities.
