Thinking about doing something with this old post condensing my ideas about Dark Sun. Here are some images that get me in the right frame of mind. No actual Dark Sun art here, though of course a lot of that is pretty inspirational.

Neat spread. Glad to see Bisley and Bennet's art. Would you do more post like this for the other settings?
Those are a very nice selection, not just for Dark Sun inspiration but for evoking the Sword & Planet genre (which I always felt DS drew from in part). Particularly like that fifth piece, you could do a whole adventure module around that one with ease. The sixth one evokes a lot of the same feel to me.
@tanner - Did you have any specific ones in mind?
I don’t recognize ANY of this; that being said, I pretty much love all of it.
Your prior post on Dark Sun give me much of what I’d want for such a setting even (and including) Masters of the Universe stuff (at least the parts that read a bit like Stone Age Flash Gordon). Throw in some Micronauts weirdness and I’m sold.
In fact, why aren’t you already running this campaign? I know why I’m not!
This is great. I would love to see that Bisley piece in real life instead of just interneted pixels. What is #5 from?
